Terms of Service
These terms apply to website services provided by Alex Builds Studio. By paying for a package, you agree to them. Questions: alexbuildsstudio@gmail.com.
1. Free preview
I may build a preview of a website for your business at no cost. You are under no obligation to buy anything after seeing it.
2. Packages and payment
Packages are priced as a one-time payment in US dollars, as shown on the pricing page: Starter $599, Business $799 and Pro $1,299. Payment is made once, through a secure online payment link, after you approve your preview. There is no subscription, no auto-renewal and no recurring charge. Custom quotes, when agreed in writing, are also one-time payments in US dollars.
3. What's included
Each package includes the pages and features listed on the pricing page, and a free revision period after launch: 14 days (Starter), 30 days (Business) or 60 days (Pro). Larger projects are quoted separately in writing before any work starts.
4. Delivery
I deliver your website either as a zip file of the complete site, or by deploying it to a hosting account in your name (for example, a free plan with a provider such as Netlify, Vercel or Cloudflare Pages) and connecting your domain. Third-party hosting and domain services are subject to their own terms, limits and prices.
5. Ownership
Once paid, you own the delivered website files. You keep ownership of your domain, text, photos, logo and other content you provide, and you confirm you have the right to use any content you send me. Your domain should be registered in your name.
6. Changes after the revision period
Changes requested after your free revision period are billed per request. I'll quote the price before doing any work.
7. No guarantee of results
I build sites using search engine best practices, but I can't guarantee specific rankings, traffic, calls or sales, because they depend on factors outside my control.
8. Payments, refunds and cancellation
Payments are processed by Waffo, which acts as the Merchant of Record for orders. That means Waffo is the seller of record for your payment, handles applicable sales tax, and issues your receipt. Your payment is also subject to Waffo's own terms.
The full details are in the refund policy. In short:
- The preview is free. If you don't like it, you don't pay.
- Duplicate or mistaken charges are refunded in full.
- If I can't deliver the website you approved, you get a full refund.
- After delivery, payments are generally not refundable, because you approved the site before paying. Instead, problems are fixed during your free revision period: 14 days (Starter), 30 days (Business) or 60 days (Pro).
Cancelling before delivery. Because there's no subscription, there is nothing to cancel after delivery. If you've paid and want to cancel before your website is delivered, email alexbuildsstudio@gmail.com with your business name and payment date. If no work has been delivered yet, you'll get a full refund. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through the payment provider.
9. Your responsibilities, breach, suspension and termination
You agree to provide accurate information, to only send content you have the right to use, and not to use the website I build for anything illegal, fraudulent, infringing or harmful. If you break these terms, for example by using a chargeback while also keeping the delivered site, sending content you don't have rights to, or being abusive, I may pause or stop work on your project and decline further requests.
Either of us can end the project by email before delivery. If I end it without cause, you get a full refund. If I end it because you broke these terms, any refund is limited to what the refund policy allows. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as ownership, disclaimers and limitation of liability) still apply after the project ends.
10. Disclaimer
Websites and related services are provided "as is" and "as available". Apart from what these terms and the pricing page promise, I don't make other warranties, express or implied, including that the site will be error-free or uninterrupted. Third-party services (hosting, domains, Google Business Profile, payment providers) are outside my control and are covered by their own terms.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, I'm not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost revenue or lost data. My total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service.
12. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. The terms in effect when you paid apply to your project.
